Join Radiation Protection Supervisors from across the South West for a focused day of training, updates, best practice discussion and practical workshops. An excellent opportunity to learn, share experience and connect with colleagues working across radiation protection.
Event Overview
The programme is structured to support both new and experienced Radiation Protection Supervisors. Delegates can attend the full-day course, covering both foundational and update training, or the half-day refresher update for those already appointed or experienced in the role.
The day will include interactive talks, group exercises, legislation updates and practical discussion around current best practice in radiation protection.
Full-Day Course
Designed for those new to the RPS role, or those seeking comprehensive training. This option covers the essentials of radiation protection, regulatory requirements and practical safety measures.
Half-Day Update Course
Suitable for experienced Radiation Protection Supervisors who wish to refresh their knowledge and stay up to date with current regulations, expectations and best practice.
Programme Structure
Part 1: Basic Training
Aimed at those developing towards the RPS role. This session introduces the core principles, duties and expectations required to support safe working with ionising radiation.
Part 2: Update Training
Aimed at both those developing towards RPS appointment and existing RPSs attending as a refresher. This session focuses on updates, best practice and practical application.
